Frequently Asked Questions
What vaccinations do you offer?
We provide routine childhood vaccinations, adult boosters, seasonal flu and COVID-19 vaccines (when available), whooping cough (pertussis), HPV, shingles, and travel vaccinations (availability may vary).
Do I need a referral to get vaccinated?
No. You can usually book directly. A referral isn’t required for most vaccines.
Are any vaccines free under the National Immunisation Program (NIP)?
Yes. Many childhood and some adult vaccines are funded by the NIP. A consultation fee may apply for the visit. We’ll let you know any costs before your appointment.
How do I book a vaccination appointment?
Book online or call reception. If you’re booking for multiple family members, please let us know so we allow enough time.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Bring your Medicare card, any previous immunisation records, your child’s Health Record (if applicable), and a list of current medicines or allergies.
How long do I need to stay after a vaccine?
We generally ask you to remain in the clinic for 15 minutes (sometimes 20–30 minutes if you have a history of reactions) so our team can monitor you.
Are vaccines safe? What side effects should I expect?
Vaccines used in Australia are assessed by the TGA. Mild effects like a sore arm, low fever, or tiredness can occur and usually settle quickly. If you feel unwell or are worried after a vaccine, contact us or seek urgent care.
I’ve lost my immunisation record—can you help?
Yes. We can help you access your Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) record via myGov/Medicare, or provide a history statement if needed.
Do you provide catch-up vaccinations?
Yes. We can assess your records and create a catch-up plan based on your age, risk factors, and the current NIP schedule.
Do you offer travel vaccinations?
We can advise on common travel vaccines (e.g., hepatitis, typhoid). Availability varies—please contact us ahead of time as some vaccines require ordering or multiple doses before departure.
